Why this club

City began as Ardwick in 1880 and spent most of a century as Manchester's other club, including a drop to the third tier in the late 1990s. The 2008 Abu Dhabi takeover remade them into the dominant Premier League side of the 2010s and 2020s, complete with a Treble in 2023. The football is usually excellent; the debate about what the project means comes free. Support City if you like winning, sky blue, and a club that reinvented itself.
